Regional(UK)
From Orienteering Wiki
Regional (UK) Events are often refered to as Badge Events.
Regional events are usually held on more technically demanding terrain. Instead of master maps, pre-marked maps will be available after the start line. Entry to events will normally be in advance by post or online. Courses will be based on Age Class. Three or four of the simpler colour-coded courses may be on offer, but these will have EOD.
Regional events are advertised in many ways. The adverts will show when, where, how much and who to send to by when. Sometimes special entry forms are required.
To enter a Regional event, follow the instructions on the event flyer or webpage.
Read the final details carefully -these will either be on the organising club's webpage or sent through the post. At the event you do not need to register. Normally you will have a start time assigned to you - available on the day in the assembly area or on the webpage. Maps are pre-marked with controls and bagged.
