Bagged Map

noun, when a master map system is not in use, it is usual to receive your pre-marked map, with control descriptions attached, after the start, already in a plastic bag. A heated metal strip will have sealed the bag, but sometimes this doesn't work very well (self-selected for wet events!) It is also wise to check that any sealing at all has been attempted because otherwise you may arrive at the first control with a bag and no map!
